Welcome to the Science Department at Hamilton High School

Hamilton High School is among the top science high schools in the state of Arizona. It has achieved this distinction by promoting excellence in science education. This has been accomplished by aligning state and national standards in the core curriculum and having an excellent AP and Honors level curriculum.

Our department is composed of a group of outstanding teachers. Every science teacher encourages the academic and individual development of the students. They also serve as a valuable resource to guide students in their science studies throughout their high school years.

Unique to Hamilton are science courses designed to prepare students for careers in science. In addition to core level courses in Investigative Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Hamilton offers Engineering, Biotechnology, Medical Career and Nursing courses designed to help students begin training for a science career while completing high school. Many courses are offered for dual credit allowing students to begin their college coursework in high school.

Students who have not decided on a career path have an array of college level AP courses and dual credit courses to choose from including: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, Human Anatomy, Biotechnology and Honors Science Research.

It is a Hamilton High School goal as well as a Hamilton Science goal that all students exceed academic standards and be prepared for the next level of their education.
